Background:
MAN1C1 belongs to the Anti-MAN1C1抗體glycosyl hydrolase 47 family. It is involved in the maturation of Asn-linked oligosaccharides. It trims alpha-1,2-linked mannose residues from Man(9)GlcNAc(2) to produce first Man(8)GlcNAc(2) then Man(6)GlcNAc and a small amount of Man(5)GlcNAc. MAN1C1 is expressed in most tissues with the exception of lung, muscle and pancreas. It is highly expressed in placenta.
