Background:
EIF3F, (also known as eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit 5, EIF-3 epsilon, and EIF3 p47 subunit), is part of the EIF3 complex, which is composed of at least 12 subunits. It binds the 40S ribosome and promotes the binding Anti-eIF3F抗體of methionyl-tRNAi and mRNA. It can bind the COP9 signalosome and the 26S proteasome, possibly having regulatory functions in both protein translation and degradation. EIF3F also associates with the complex p170-EIF3.
