Product lines include: goat polyclonal antisera for turbidimetric and nephelometric serum protein assays; standard and custom calibrators and controls; OEM reagents manufactured to customer specifications; and an extensive range of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies and antigens used in immunochemistry and infectious disease testing.

Company headquarters and laboratories are located at 12 Rice Street, Portland, Maine, 04103, USA. Our ten acre USDA-registered farm facility is located in a nearby rural agricultural community, and houses our substantial goat herd.

Turbidimetric Reagents
Capricorn offers a comprehensive line of goat polyclonal antiserum and human serum based calibrators specifically manufactured for nephelometric and turbidimetric use. We blend extensive manufacturing experience, investment in laboratory technology, and strict adherence to manufacturing experience and QC procedures in order to offer you superior, yet cost effective, performance in most immunoassay systems. Antibodies are custom manufactured to provide sensitivity, linearity, and titer required for specific application. Control of herd size and make-up ensures adequate back-up of stock inventory and reliable long-term supply. All products are defibrinated, delipidated, and 0.2μ filtered to ensure optical clarity and stability. Reference serum/calibrators have protein values assigned for Albumin, Alpha-1-Antitrypsin, Alpha-2-Macroglobulin, C3, C4, Ceruloplasmin, Haptoglobin, IgA, IgG, IgM, and Transferrin in mg/dL based on the RPPHS. Custom Calibrators with manipulated levels of serum proteins are available upon request.
Infectious Disease
Capricorn Products LLC manufactures and distributes a broad line of antibodies and purified antigens for infectious disease tests. Monoclonal antibodies are typically Protein A purified. Antibodies can be conjugated to FITC or HRP upon request. Polyclonal antibodies are available as serum, Ig, or IgG fractions, affinity purified, or conjugated to FITC or HRP.

Immunochemistry
Capricorn Products LLC offers a broad line of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies and purified antigens for the measurement of immunochemistry analytes including serum proteins, tumor markers, hormones, antibiotics, and cardiac markers. Polyclonal antibodies are offered as serum, Ig and IgG fractions, affinity purified or conjugated to FITC, HRP. Monoclonal antibodies are available as ascites, Protein A or G purified, or conjugated to FITC, HRP. Multiples clones to the same analyte are available. Many clones are available for license. Many antigens are offered in several grades of purity.
