Background:
MCF2L2 is a 1,114 amino acid protein that contains one spectrin repeat, one PH domain, one DH domain and one CRAL-TRIO Anti-MCF2L2抗體domain. Expressed at high levels in brain and also present in testis and pancreas, MCF2L2 is thought to function as a GEF, catalyzing the activation of target GTPases. Variations in the gene encoding MCF2L2 may be associated with an increased susceptibility to type 2 diabetes. Multiple isoforms of MCF2L2 exist due to alternative splicing events.
